125cc (Restricted Access) Training Category A1 from £435
All training carried out over whole days not short four hour sessions that are good for profits but do not make quality motorcyclists
Restricted Access is your route to a full motorcycle licence if you are under 19, nervous about riding a big bike or learning on a budget.
Even though we are on a smaller bike. We’ll cover much the same ground as on the A2 and Category A Direct Access course, but all your training will be on the smaller 125 machine.
What is Restricted Access?
After receiving your restricted licence, you will be able to take the L plates of your 125cc machine ,go onto motorways, carry passengers ,probably reduce your insurance premiums and be a safer more confident rider .
After this on reaching 19 years of age can take the A2 test on the larger 500cc restricted test
If the A2 400cc+ test has been taken and passed you could do the direct access test on the fully powered 595cc earlier at the age of 21 after which any bike of any power can be ridden.
All Training will be carried out on a strict 2:1 instructor policy, so better value for money.
You will require
- CBT and theory test pass certificates
- Provisional licence
- Minimum age 17
- Small motorcycles up to 11 kW (and a power-to-weight ratio not more than 0.1 kW per kg) and 125 cc
All course training and the test is taken on a 125cc machine. After passing the test you can remove your L plates, carry a pillion passenger and ride on motorways.
This restriction lasts forever or until the direct access test is passed at either the age of 21 dependant on passing the A2 test or at the age of 24, at the end of which you are free to ride any bike, fully powered.
All Training will be full days so a lot more time spent riding the bikes getting used to them. we offer 2, 3, 4 and 5 day courses to suit your experience
